One more picture of the boy cousins!! :)

UEA Weekend

HI! It has been a while (quite a long while) since I have done this. I thought tonight was a good time to try again. I miss Kendra. She is my blogger. Maybe she will be my inspiration to be a blogger too.

This weekend we had a really fun time. We went to Burley on Thursday to go to the dentist. Now, you may be thinking, "what's so fun about going to the dentist?" But it really is fun when you get to see family (and you don't have any cavities, Yeah me! :)) Anyways, after a stop in to see Dentist Wayne, we street rollerbladed with Janet, Craig, Tyler, Brandon, Jared and I. Kara and Rachel watched Megan. It was fun and I didn't kill myself (which was even funner!) Then Janet and I (with the help of Craig and Jared) made homemade applesauce. Yum! We came home on Thursday night and on Friday we went to the Uintas with friends in the ward. We got spoiled! They had a really nice trailer that we stayed in, complete with electic blankets! For people who are use to a tent, we felt like we were really going deluxe! We went four wheeling and played games. It was a good time. Here are a few pictures.

Noveber 2011

Today was stake conference. It was very good and I enjoyed having an extra hour sleep with "fall back" from daylight savings. I spent some time this afternoon gathering pictures from the files to send to Debi for the calendar and I am hoping I can post them all here. It was fun to look back on the happenings of this year.

Welcome 2019 !!!!

Happy New Year!! So I was downstairs reading Come Follow Me for the first time and thinking about the New Year and was trying to think of a good New Year's resolution. I thought about wanting to connect with family members more often and thought about what would be a good forum, when I remembered this blogspot that hasn't been touched in 9 years! Wow! So I thought I would give it a try and see if all of my peeps would be interested in following :) My goal, is to update, at least once a month and add a few pictures to make things interesting. To recap December...some of the joys and struggles. Joys: Being with family. We had a family dinners on the 16th and the 23 and got to see most everyone on one of those two Sundays. It was fun to see Benson and David together for a bit on the 16th. I got a picture of these two cuties, my babies of 2018! I really enjoyed having Kara, Kendra, Brad, Kristin, and Moayeed and kids at church on the 23rd. I always love the music and it was extra special to be able to sing with my Primary kids one more time. This was probably the best part of Christmas for me this year (accept for my Christmast surprise of having Jared, Amy, and Benson "underneath my tree" Christmas morning). I wasn't expecting them so early, and it was such a fun surprise! Christmas Eve was "interesting." Sophia didn't really participate in the Christmas reenactement of the Christmas Story, liked I hoped. It was kind of humorous to see her view of things.. She loved the Angel wings and promptly became a butterfly for most of the story..Who knows? There very well may have been a butterfly there on that first Christmas night! T It actually did happen in the Spring! :) It was fun to be with the Ahmeds, Kara, Justin, and Dad! Dad did a good job playing the guitar for some Christmas carols and I enjoyed mixing it up with having the Turkey dinner and some Middle Eastern food. Thanks for everyone's efforts to be a part of Christmas day, despite my Christmas breakfast melt down! It was so good to have your all together for a bit! I loved the thoughtful gifts and time together. The Mary Poppins movie was fun for those who were able to end the day with that event! I was sad to say good bye to my Uncle Bill. He was such a fun Uncle and always made everyone feel so welcome. He died, December 31th, at around 3:00 am. I was glad that Debi and I, along with Eric and Steve, could go say our goodbyes the day before. It was fun to have Debi and Steve up stayng at our house. We had a couple of good game nights and kept our New Years Eve tradition of having Chinese food. Happy that Jared and Amy and Benson could join us! Happy New Year everyone! I am excited to see what the next year brings!! My biggest New Years Goal is to focus on Joy! So I will keep you posted :)

UEA weekend

This weekend we had Thursday and Friday off for UEA. We went to Idaho on Thursday to see Dentist Wayne. Now most of you may be thinking that doesn't sound like too much fun, but it was (especially since I didn't have any cavities, yeah me!) We rollerbladed with Janet and the kids and made yummy applesauce. We came home Thursday night and on Friday we went to the Uintas with some friends in the ward. We were really spoiled. We stayed in a nice trailer, complete with electric blankets. For us, the usual tent campers, this was deluxe! We also four wheeled and played games and it was beautiful. It was a great weekend!

I wanted to add some pictures, but when I clicked on the add image button, it didn't do anything. Frustration!!!!! Love ya all anyways! Sorry you don't get to see our cute faces having fun.

Girls Day Out

I have been wanting to go to temple square this whole summer. We decided today was a good day to go while the kids were in school. Mom wanted to take frontrunner because she had never been on it. We were running a little late and as soon as were got there, we saw our train go by. We had to wait for the next train 30 min later. It worked out well because we still needed to buy a ticket and figure out where we were going. Once we got to temple square we sat in the beautiful gardens. Then we went to the top of the church administration building and saw the whole city! Afterward we went and sat on the grounds while we watched the brides coming out of the temple. I rated all of their dresses and gave the best dress the "Kendra Award." I love weddings so is was fun for me. Mom treated me to lunch at The Pantry in the Beehive House. It was very tasty and we ordered a piece of amazing chocolate cake for desert! After lunch we went to were Brigham Young is buried. It was pretty cool. We also went to the Madeline Cathedral a couple blocks from temple square. The architecture was so cool and I loved the stain glass windows. We left Salt Lake about 3:15 and Mom almost fell asleep on the way home. Thanks for a fun day Mom!
